Based on the West Coast of British Columbia, RPPH aims to build on its impressive portfolio of wind and run-of-river sites. The most advanced sites are in key regions of British Columbia with a total capacity of over 3000MW (est.) of renewable energy capacity. RPPH is focusing on investing in jurisdictions that have vast undeveloped renewable energy potential. By establishing roots in new markets, RPPH is putting itself at the forefront of the renewable energy sector and is well positioned to lead in a new, green global economy. All of RPPH’s projects will help move the province closer to meeting its energy target of being energy self-sufficient by 2016 with 90% of its power coming from clean sources. We are a big part of the solution to climate change, and a leader in contributing to the future and a new economy.
Our VisionOur vision is to realize the development and operation of a substantial renewable energy portfolio because we believe that these efforts will positively contribute to the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions. Market OpportunityBritish Columbia presents a significant opportunity for renewable energy development. With considerable natural resources available, the Province offers a prime investment opportunity for the renewable energy sector. Wind development in BC is far behind other provinces in Canada, and small hydro projects have not yet reached the pinnacle of their abundant potential. This is an advantage for those that want to be a part of an underdeveloped market. RPPH is best positioned to grasp this opportunity for new renewable energy development. As a private holding company with diverse assets and a broad portfolio in both wind and hydro, RPPH is in the market at the ideal time. We have four bid-ready projects, all of which are undergoing environmental assessment studies. Our longer term portfolio consists of near bid-ready wind and hydro projects as well as some projects that are currently at the conceptual stage. All of our sites have been carefully selected based on a strong resource, proximity to current transmission, and ease of development. Our total capacity will be greater than 3000 MW of clean power that can be sold to the citizens of British Columbia. Our AdvantageThe advantage RPPH holds over its competitors can be found in the depth of our later stage projects. 27 sites are under tenure across multiple regions of the province and we are looking to make further crown land acquisitions. RPPH holds tenure in some of the key renewable energy zones in BC, from the Northeast, to the Northwest, Southern Interior to Vancouver Island. After moving past the near bid ready projects are multiple projects that can enrich our already strong portfolio. RPPH is not a one project company, rather we are a global renewable energy developer, seeking new markets and working to combat the overwhelming climate change challenge. |
